Did you know Youtube gets 4,950,000,000 video views per day?!

Video is not the future of marketing, it’s the present.

When people want the answers to something they Google it; and because Google owns Youtube, they rank videos fairly well.

With that being said, Facebook hasn’t been sitting idle, they’ve been constantly pushing to be more of a search engine in itself. A search engine that allows you to find “Greg in Pennsylvania”, search “The Debate”, and see what news is trending…

A few years ago Facebook did an update that buried text-based posts with image-based posts.

Now, Facebook caters to video and those who are using it..

Try opening your newsfeed in another browser (once you’re done reading this article of course) and see what percentage of posts are videos that autoplay as you scroll by.

This is why businesses like yours have a great opportunity to show off what you can do for your patients with very little friction

Besides, video views on Facebook can be bought for as little as one cent!

So it’s time to get over your fear of looking like an idiot on camera and start filming some marketing materials!

Video #1 to Film = Patient Testimonials

Just ask.

Ask your favourite patients, those who have had great success under your care, if they wouldn’t mind sitting down and sharing their experience.

The worst case scenario is they say ‘no.’

Here’s an example of our own Coach Jay who is a PRO at doing patient testimonial videos.

Here Dr. Jay goes to his Facebook Live and has a casual conversation with Pat about her journey with sciatic pain and how chiropractic has helped.

…then he promoted it to men and women aged 32+ who live in Longmont, Colorado. For only $15 he generated 2.4K views:

When’s the last time $15 got your message in front of 2000 people?

Just sit down with a patient (or get one of your CA’s to), hold your cell phone in front of you, and follow these steps to create your live patient testimonial video right on Facebook!

Video #2 to Film = Treatment Video

People are scared of the unknown.

I’ve had a friend who needed a chiropractor from a hockey injury, and KNEW he needed a chiropractor badly. However, he didn’t know a thing about chiropractic and that was enough to cause him to not take any action.

If you just show someone through your office, meet the staff, and walk them through the procedures, it may be the difference between them coming in and not at all.

A great way to show people what you can do and what their experience might be like with you is by doing treatment videos.

Here’s a great example of a Chiropractor in Bolton Ontario adjusting a newborn baby.

This is an easy video to produce because you can have any staff member standing near you filming. Just make sure to ask permission from your patient first!

This is an interesting video topic as well because of the possibly controversial conversation you could open yourself up to. Which also produces more views and comments that you don’t need to pay for 😉 Just look at the 51 people who shared it to their own pages!

… this video is designed to educate those who are in a similar situation who are then encouraged to become a new patient.

Video #3 to Film = Educational Symptom/Condition Video

There are a vast majority of symptoms and conditions that you’ve addressed in your career as a chiropractor.

Each and every one of those conditions can be a new video, but let’s focus on our buyer persona – who is it that you want to see more of?

If you like adjusting kids, then a video on ADHD is a great start!

If you’re in the downtown core surrounded by working professionals, a video on back pain exercises catered to working professionals makes sense.

Here is a snapshot of a Calgary Chiropractor who made a video on back exercises to help with back pain and herniated discs.

This video was published 4 months ago and still receives new comments every single day!

Videos like this take much more time to plan and film, but don’t doubt your ability to make a great video with a simple outline for a video.

You can talk about exercises they can do at home, a demonstration of what’s happening in the body, or film your health care class and leverage it for Facebook!

When you do a great video with great information, it can really take off.

This video had over 124,000 video views, over 1,000 people shared it to their own timeline, and 67 people have commented.

It even generates conversation that leads to a new patient phone call:

Let me quickly overcome any other objection you might have toward filming a video before we part ways…

  1. Audio quality: buy a lavalier microphone that plugs into your headphone jack that clips to your clothing. Videos might not always be seen, but they’ll always be heard.
    Here’s a great one.
  2. Lighting: you can buy professional lighting on Amazon, but it’s not necessary to get started. Like the first point suggests, when someone is watching a video they might be multi-tasking but they’ll be paying attention to the audio. Therefore, don’t stress about lighting quality until you decide to be a Youtube star.
  3. Video Camera: use your phone. They’re amazing quality these days and only getting better. Plus you can upload your video right to youtube and facebook from there.
  4. Permissions: make sure to ask your patients for permission to use them in your video marketing. Then get them to sign a video release form just in case…
Oh hey, we made you a template… click here to download it.
  5. Publishing to Facebook: Get the Facebook Pages app, this will allow you to post from your phone. Just make a new status, and attach your video by clicking the camera icon. It will take some time to buffer so factor that in!

Congratulations!

You now have everything you need to move forward with video marketing.

Good luck, you film-maker. 😉
