How do you answer the question…
“What makes you different?”
“What sets you apart from the competition?”
If you are having a hard time attracting high-quality patients, it starts with the message and vibration you’re putting out to the world.
Today, Coach Jay is going to share his experience trying to promote his chiropractic practice without his “chiropractic elevator speech”.
Your Chiropractic Elevator Speech
They say you get what you give.
This goes beyond the Law of Reciprocity.
This is the vibration you’re exchanging with the world on a second-by-second basis.
It’s the energetic vibration that is telling the Universe that you’re open for growth, or you’re choosing mediocrity and comfort.
It sounds fluffy, but consider how one of our clients recently doubled his practice without marketing simply by increasing the energy he’s bringing into his office by taking his mornings for his martial arts training.
It’s not clear how one equates to patient growth, but his energetic vibration is higher, and he’s working his own Authentic Schedule which allows him to create a void for the Universe to fill with new patients.
1) Increase Your Vibration:
From helping practice owners increase their practice, enjoy their time at work again, avoid burnout, and take more time off for the last 20+ years, we’ve learned that the best and only way to achieve this is…
By putting more YOU into your practice!
It’s impossible to think we can successfully operate being two different people:
- the practice owner / doctor / professional
- the real you who is allowed to be expressed outside of work
It doesn’t work that way.
When you can begin by identifying who the real you is, and integrate more of that into practice, that’s when work is no longer a 4-letter word.
That’s when you become more present with your patients, and more present with your family when you’re home.
That’s when the practice begins to run a little more smooth, and the momentum picks up again.
That’s when the phone begins to ring some more, and patients tend to stick around longer.
It’s all about identifying your core values and linking them into your practice.
That’s why Coach Jay emphasizes his family practice, for families, by families.
He has a side business selling authentic reclaimed barn wood, so of course, his office is beautifully furnished with barn wood.
He walks his talk and models wellness by getting his Crossfit workouts in every day on his lunch break and bringing that energy into his office for the afternoon.
2) Convert That Into a Million Dollar Message:
Once you’re clear on what elements you value the most, you can begin to incorporate that into your practice.
That’s when your “Chiropractic Elevator Speech” or “Million Dollar Message” can be crafted and crystallized over time.
It doesn’t have to be revolutionary.
You’re not always going to be the first, fastest, cheapest, or most effective… all you have to do is love what you’re doing and articulate that.
This is where we can also look at your journey into practice.
We have a chiropractor who was an athlete, and it was chiropractic that allowed him to get back in the game after a serious injury. It’s no wonder why he became a chiropractor.
… that’s what needs to be articulated and shared as he (obviously) LOVES working with athletes!
… and athletes trust HIM over the competition because they are on a path to recovery that he’s already walked.
Begin weaving in more of who you are and what you value into your practice and see if it increases your enjoyment at work, and the number of new patients showing up *out of nowhere*.
P.S. that chiropractor we mentioned earlier who is taking more time for martial arts. He also loves making music, so he made a playlist that is on across the office while he’s working. This helps him keep his energy up, helps him connect with others who appreciate it, and he’s hitting record months by doing JUST these two things. Now we can ramp it up with systems.

Why This Is Hard To Do Alone…
There’s a saying that goes:
“You can’t read the label from inside the bottle.”
If you knew how to identify your core values, in what order you value them, and how to integrate them into your practice, you could probably make some tweaks next week.
Although you’re so close to the situation you can’t see what we can see from our outside perspective.
Besides, most practice owners have a hard time seeing and believing their inherent greatness.
We know everyone is capable and deserving of success, you just need to remove the interferences.
The interferences that limit your expression, your income, your enjoyment, and keep you doing what you believe you “should be” doing based on past programming.
Once we remove that, your glass ceiling becomes your new floor.
That’s when Charles 70 patients per week became 120 patients per week… 70 went from his max to his new low.
I’d love to give you the answers you need to remove your interferences, but it’s different and unique to everyone.
Everyone has a unique practice style, unique lifestyle, unique goals, and unique baggage that is holding them back.
What we can do for you is to get on a Practice Growth Strategy Session to take a look at your symptoms and give you a report of findings, which we call our Practice From Within Blueprint to grow your practice while working less exhausting hours.
