My first experience at Remembering the Sacred Source retreat was a life changing weekend. I went into the weekend not knowing what to expect except that we would be fishing, something that I was not overly fond of, but just had a feeling that I was supposed to be there. The whole retreat was an amazing experience which I will try to articulate. The camaraderie, the spectacular food, even the fishing, was fabulous. Through various exercises and lots of reflection, for the first time in my life, I felt a peace and joy that is truly indescribable. This island in the middle of Blue Lake is beautiful and the serenity and peace that exists there is something that definitely needs to be experienced. For three days I felt God’s presence as very real and tangible. I keep returning to Blue Lake every year in order to continue to grow and learn how to stay in that sacred space every second of the day.
